It's not about style: every man should have at least a good shoe. Preferably black, which is a wildcard for social outfits.
A good quality shoe can last for years. But it is important to take some care to keep it always in good condition.
- Leather, mostly new, absorbs liquid that may end up ruining your shoe. The trick is to use a sealer on the still new shoe.
- Leather needs to breathe to stay dry and not appearing to be cracked. Keep in airy places.
- The forms of woods are significant as they stretch the shoe, taking the marks caused by the use of leather. Also, take indoor humidity.
- Oils nowadays have a lot of substances, which leaves the leather dried. But if you do not waive them, look for a cobbler confidence, which use grease to water and natural waxes. Another way to keep your shoe shining is to use body moisturizer, followed by a chamois and a soft bristle school.
- The “wounds” of possible tripped can be corrected with a polishing compound in the same color as the leather.
- Soaked? Don’t put to dry in the sun. This helps to the leather drying out, you can still shrink the shoe. Just wipe and put a newspaper inside to absorb excess of water.
